Good morning,
Hope you’ve been enjoying your weekend so far. I’ve got a little shopping edit for you today. A handful of things I’ve been loving lately, all with a nice thread of colour, character and a bit of personality running through them.
A colourful bath

First up, colourful baths and sinks are back. And I am completely here for it.
We’ve become so used to seeing white sanitaryware that we forget bathrooms can actually be joyful. I keep coming back to those beautiful Art Deco spaces with soft blues, greens and pastels. They feel thoughtful and full of charm.
I’m actually planning a baby blue bath for our family bathroom. There’s something about it that feels almost sculptural, like it becomes the moment in the room rather than just something practical.
Bathrooms don’t need to feel clinical. In fact, smaller spaces can often carry more personality. A coloured bath is unexpected, playful and just makes you smile.

A sleep product that has really helped me

Next, something a little different. Sleep.
You don’t really think about it until you aren’t getting any! The past couple of years have been full on, and I definitely felt it, especially with a very busy 3am brain creeping in.
Sam, my husband, has been busy working on a natural sleep supplement brand called Counting Sheep, and I’ve been taking the daily capsules for the past couple of months. I wasn’t expecting much, if I’m honest, but the difference has been noticeable. Deeper sleep, clearer mornings, no grogginess.
If sleep is something you struggle with, they’re well worth a look. He’s also offered 25% off with the code ROOMSERVICE25 until the end of June.
A sculptural vase I’m obsessed with

Now onto something a bit more decorative. A vase I can’t stop thinking about.
I recently discovered Westwing, who have just launched in the UK, and their homeware is beautiful. This particular vase is handmade in Portugal and each one is slightly different, which I love.
It has this soft mushroom shape with a rich brown glaze. It’s sculptural enough to stand on its own, but just as lovely with a few garden cuttings. Those slightly unexpected forms are what stop a room from feeling flat. They add that extra layer of interest without trying too hard.
The shelving I’ve been recommending to my clients

Speaking of adding colour without decorating, I’ve been recommending Tylko to so many clients recently.
Everything is completely custom, including the colour, which makes it such an easy way to introduce personality into a space. I’ve recommended using them for everything from wardrobes to room dividers, and we’ve just added a sage green unit into our hallway.
We’re not repainting before we move, so this felt like the perfect way to lift the space without committing to anything permanent. It’s a good reminder that colour doesn’t have to come from paint. Sometimes one piece of furniture can do all the work.

The bargain that makes your bathroom considered

And finally, a small detail that makes a surprisingly big difference. An enamel soap dish.
I know it sounds niche, but I’ve completely fallen down an enamel rabbit hole recently. These ones from Dyke & Dean are simple, colourful and just a little bit unexpected.
The kind of detail that makes a room feel considered, like someone has really thought about every corner. They also a very good little gift, especially for a host or a housewarming gift.
I’d love to know if you’ve come across any brilliant home brands recently. I’m always on the lookout for pieces that bring a bit more colour and soul into a space.
Happy decorating,
Tash x
