Good Morning,

Sunday mornings are my favourite time to think about home, that soft, quiet moment with a cup of tea in hand, when you really notice how a space makes you feel. I always say colour is a language, and the pieces you choose are the words you use to tell your story at home.

This little shopping edit is a mix of things I own, things on my wishlist, and pieces I’ve seen in real life or through clients’ homes that I completely trust, all chosen to bring a bit more joy, warmth and personality into your rooms. There might be something here that might make an appearance on your Christmas list.

Let’s start from the ground up. A rug is one of the easiest ways to introduce both colour and pattern into a room without it feeling overwhelming, and Nordic Knots do this so beautifully. I’m especially drawn to the blue version, the tones feel calm and cocooning, and there’s also a red-toned one that adds a richer, more confident warmth, perfect if you want your rug to be the “hello” as you walk into the room.

Now, storage pots. Time and time again in bathrooms I see brilliant products sitting in harsh plastic packaging, which instantly jars with an otherwise beautiful scheme. These lidded pots from The Conran Shop are such an elegant solution, ideal for cotton pads, earbuds, even dental floss, and I love the brown tone because it adds warmth while still feeling really smart; I’d happily use them for jewellery too. I’m planning on getting a couple for my bathroom.

If you have tissues around the house (I always do!), a marbled tissue box cover is such a simple upgrade. This kind of marbling feels timeless and works in almost any scheme, adding that little “designed” moment to a bedside table or console. In green and red it also brings a very gentle touch of festivity as we head towards Christmas, without shouting about it.

A couple of interior books

I couldn’t not include my own book, it’s truly a love letter to colour and how it can transform the way your home feels. Alongside it, I’m completely obsessed with Nicola Harding’s new book; it’s full of richly layered interiors and the sort of colour stories that make you want to rearrange a room immediately. If you’re thinking about what to ask for this Christmas, or what to gift to a fellow design lover, these two would be at the top of the list.

The column candlesticks from Pentreath & Hall are heaven. They have that beautifully classic shape that works on any table, in any style of home, and they instantly make a simple supper feel like a bit of an occasion. If you want to play with colour, pop in some colourful candles, it’s such an easy, low-commitment way to experiment with bolder shades.

Now for something a little indulgent: the Studio Ashby tote. I know it’s a splurge, which is why it’s very much on my Christmas wishlist, but it is honestly exceptional. I’ve seen it in real life, and the quality is incredible. It’s one of those pieces that feels like carrying a little slice of beautiful interior design with you, and I know it’s a bag that would make me smile every single day.

If you’re hunting for beautiful ribbon, especially at this time of year, I always send people straight to VV Rouleaux. Their colours and textures are just gorgeous, perfect for wrapping presents, weaving through your Christmas tree, or tying around napkins and vases to bring in those small, joyful accents of colour. It’s these tiny details that quietly pull a scheme together.

Joanna Ling ceramics (and a great alternative)

Joanna Ling’s ceramics are truly special, hand-made, sculptural and full of character, and yes, the price reflects that, but the pieces have such presence. I’d use a bowl as a centrepiece or as a fruit bowl that you actually want to leave out, because it becomes a focal point in the room. If you love that look but need something more budget-friendly, Anthropologie has a stunning alternative that still gives you that artisanal, textural feel.

And finally, something cosy just for you: sheepskin slippers. I have a pair and they are absolutely divine, one of those simple everyday luxuries that genuinely changes how you feel in the evenings. Slip them on, and suddenly home feels softer, warmer and a little more nurturing, which is exactly what I want at this time of year.

That’s it for this edit. There are no brand affiliations here, these are all pieces I own and love, have on my wishlist and trust the quality of, or that clients have bought and absolutely raved about.

Hope you have a lovely week, and I’ll speak to you next Sunday.

Tash x
